"I felt like my Dad is telling us to do it; I am very emotional today" - Bhushan Kumar on 'Adipurush'

The trailer of one of the most anticipated films of this year just dropped and Adipurush continued to create a roaring wave with every minute passing by.

The film has already witnessed quite a few delays and finally, after so much happening, the trailer dropped along with a confirmed release date in the form of 16th June 2023.

At the press conference of the trailer launch, the entire team assembled and producer of the film, Bhushan Kumar couldn't help but feel multiple emotions about the same.

Not many know that the film was actually the late legend and Bhushan Kumar's father, Gulshan Kumar's dream to make a film on Ramayan.

The man was also known to give some of the most loved devotional films and songs during his lifetime where Hanuman Chalisa, sung by him is one of the most viewed videos on YouTube. 

Talking about the same, Bhushan Kumar said, "Everyone knows how my father made an array of devotional songs and films ranging from Vaishnodevi to Chaardhaam and so many more. But back then, he would always talk about how he wanted to make Ramayan. Unfortunately, while he was still alive, that dream couldn't be realised."

He added, "After Tanhaji, director Om Raut called me and said that he wanted to make Ramayan. I felt like my Dad is telling us to do it. It was his dream that seemed like my calling to realise it and finally do it. Today, I am just extremely emotional and I cannot believe it is happening. I want to thank everyone for this and also thank people for the huge response."

Adipurush stars Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Sunny Singh in lead roles and is set to mark its release on 16th June 2023.
