Poised and charismatic Simone Singh who is
loved as Sakshi Goenka in Star Plus' popular show Ek Hasina Thi is very much
fascinated towards this nine days festival of Navratri. Simone celebrates it with full zeal and zest.
Tellybuzz got in touch with the actress to know about her excitement on this auspicious festival of Navratri.
Says Simone, "I have grown up by celebrating Durga Pooja. During Saptami, Ashtami and Navmi we go to Pooja Bhandar to eat amazing bhog. I feel visiting Pooja Bhandar is the high point of Navratri. We get to see all beautiful Devi idols and also get to wear new clothes on the day."
Talking about the fun of playing Dandiya during Navratri she says, "I was not aware much about Dandiya and Garba earlier but then after I came to Mumbai I got to know the value of Navratri and the fun related to this festival. I have been to play dandiya and garba a couple of times, it is amazing to see people enjoying it thoroughly as it comes once in the year and also it is the time when people rejoice the festival to the fullest. It is wonderful to see such enthusiasm amongst the people in Navratri."
Further she talks about the
importance of the last day of Navratri which is Dusshera and she avers, "Dusshera is to celebrate the victory of good over evil and you celebrate it by bursting crackers on the day."
