Actor Adarsh Gourav continues to be raking in the appreciation that his recently released Netflix series, Guns & Gulaabs got him. But what has been an interesting factor about the actor is that in spite of starring in several films and shows over the years, it wasn't until the international project, The White Tiger, did he witnessed an absolute turnaround in his career. The likes of Hostel Daze on Amazon Prime Video and an important role in the Sridevi film, Mom also helped get him noticed,

In an exclusive conversation with us, we asked him about the kind of choices he is making, his aspirations when it comes to characters and if he fears that he will get projects that are limited to his appearance - 'younger characters', so to speak.

Q. After the kind of popularity that White Tiger propelled for you, it has been an entire change of tide. With the kind of choices you are making now, what are the kind of projects you aspire to be in most?

There are no specific projects that I aspire to be in as such. The kind of work that I want to do always depends upon my state of mind, what I am reading at that point in time, and what I am going through. There obviously are specific filmmakers I want to work with that I look up to and I respect, but not any specific kind of projects, so to speak. And absolutely, The White Tiger did completely change it for me..

Q. Do you fear only getting projects or roles that will be limited to appearance or 'younger characters,' so to speak?

I don't fear getting projects that are limited to my appearance at all. I feel I am pretty malleable as a person and I feel I adapt really well to situations. I am a South Indian who grew up in Jamshedpur initially, then grew up in Mumbai and who looks like a North Indian. So, I don't feel I have ever felt that restriction for myself.

When it comes to his future projects, Gourav is set to be seen in another international project apart from co-starring in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan with Sidhat Chaturvedi and Ananya Panday.
