"I took a break from the industry
for two months after November when my show Ek Doosre Se Karte Hai Pyaar
Hum concluded. I am back again in action but all I am waiting is for the
right opportunity to knock on my door. I have been offered many
projects on television but I haven't made a decision yet since I am
very keen towards Films. It doesn't mean that I don't love Television.
Television has always been my first love and I will always continue
working on the small screen", confessed Vishal.
Talking about his career in films, he said,"I am in the middle of talks for a movie. I am working on my body for it now because a good physique has a lot of importance in Bollywood. There will always be a demand by the story line for a character and how it is supposed to look and an actor has to live up to it."
Asserting his opinion about replacing an actor on a show Vishal said, "I somehow don't like the idea of replacement much. Recently, I was offered a replacement role but I rejected as I think the idea doesn't work with me. For example, if we take Balika Vadhu which is one of the best shows on Indian Television, childhood Anandi (Avika Gor) getting replaced is understood, but after that watching a grown up Anandi (Pratyusha Baneerjee) getting replaced after an entire year, when the viewers have accepted her as Anandi is something I cannot digest. Toral Rasputra is no doubt a superb actress but the concept doesn't work for me. Same goes with Giaa Manek too who got replaced by Devoleena Bhattacharjee in Star Plus daily soap Saath Nibhana Saathiya. If you are replacing a childhood character as grown up than that is most acceptable and understood but it is hard to accept a grown up character getting replaced all over again. It personally doesn't work with me" he concluded.
