Chak De India fame Tanya Abrol will be seen as a daring lady cop in Sony TV's long running show CID. We got in touch with this actress to know about her character, reason behind taking up the project and more...

Talking about her character she says, "I am playing Jaywanti Shinde in the show. She is a strong Marathi girl who has always been inspired by Daya and the CID team. To be a part of the CID team she struggles hard and trains herself and gets excited when she gets an opportunity to work for the team. Jaywanti is a hard working, innocent and bubbly girl."

What was the reason behind taking up this project? "It's a long running show and has maintained itself in the top shows of Sony TV. Also my character is very interesting and different from what I have done before."

She further adds, "I am enjoying my time on sets and its quite positive environment on the sets. They all believe in giving suggestions and helping each other."

What is the USP of the show? "The entire team of CID works in an organized manner. They follow a code of conduct. I think honesty and dedication of the team has brought up the show to a certain level."
