Vibha Anand who is popularly known as Suguna of COLORS' Balika Vadhu is now seen in a totally different avtar in Zee's Shree, where she plays a spirit.
Here is the actress talking about her new show and much more..
It has been very interesting. My character Kangana is totally opposite to that of Suguna and I am really enjoying this role.
How difficult was it to switch from one role to another?
Yes it was tough, but if you concentrate on your work and on the minute details of your character, things get easier.
How comfortable are you here?
The production team and actors are very co-operative and they haven't let me feel that it's a new place for me. I have got adjusted to the very friendly atmosphere in Balika Vadhu, but this set is certainly no different. Now I have three families, one is my own, the second being Balika and the third one is Shree.
What kind of preparation have you done for the role of Kangana?
Nothing much was needed. I worked on the emotions, the manner in which she expresses, talks, behaves etc. I am still trying my level best so that I do not deliver any artificial expression that gives an indication to the viewers that I am faking it. I want my audience to believe me.
We have heard that you were not the first choice for this role. So how have you taken this?
As far as I know, I gave the look test and was finalized. I really do not know whether other names were considered for this role or not.
Can you elaborate bit on your character?
Kangana is a spirit and we are trying to portray that not every spirit is bad or evil. Usually, it is the situations that make a person bad, and we are saying something on similar lines for Kangana, and developing a story to tell viewers why she is trapped here and is harassing everyone.
Which character is more close to you, Suguna or Kangana?
I can't choose any one of them as both the characters are very close to me and I am enjoying playing the roles.
How is you rapport with co-actors in Shree?
I haven't done many scenes with Hari. I have just done few scenes with Bindiya and Shree. Shree (Wasna) is a very sweet and bubbly kind of girl. Bindiya is also good and we are sharing the same make-up room and have lots of fun.
How difficult is it for you to manage your timing with two dailies?
It is difficult but at the end I believe that God has shown me the path and he will guide me through it too. I balance both the shoots in a way that it doesn't clash. For example if Shree needs me for more hours and we need to complete the scenes for the next day's telecast, I give my time for it. After two days or so, I go back to Balika Vadhu. I am very confortable with both my production houses, and that makes things easier for me. I feel really lucky to work with such people.
Besides acting what else do you do?
I am studying in the12th Std, so am preparing for my exams. Besides that I like dancing and love to watch movies. I am scared of horror movies. But after coming to the shoot of Shree, I am overcoming my fear. To watch such shows is not a problem now, but the background sound is really horrifying.
Any message to your fans on India-Forums?
I would just like to say that keep showering your blessings on me so that I can move forward. Thanks to all my fans.
