The good looking and popular actor, Arjun Bijlani is on a roll! After his stint as Shikhar on Balaji Telefilms' popular show 'Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi', the actor is all set to win viewer's hearts while playing the royal prince Ritik on Balaji Telefilms' newly launched show 'Naagin' on Colors.
In conversation with us, Arjun shares about his character, the reason for taking up the show, his belief in superstitions and much more. Read on to know more from the actor himself...
Talking about his character and the reason behind taking up the show, he told us, "Ritik is an achiever and an ambitious business tycoon. He doesn't believe in love and religion but he believes in simplicity. He is down to earth and always there for his family. Family is his priority and he believes in experiencing things himself rather than believing, what he hears from others."
"Having done back to back shows with Balaji Telefilms and Colors, they have now become a family to me. The reason behind taking up this show is... firstly, because it's an Ekta Kapoor's show and there are very few producers in the industry who make good shows on a large scale. The second reason being the concept of the show, which is quite different for me and I haven't done something like this before. So as an actor, it's going to be a different experience for me and the best part about it is that the show is going to be a finite series and it won't be stretched," stated Arjun.
When we asked him about his beliefs on superstitions, he revealed, "I am not superstitious, but I do believe in supernatural powers. I do believe that forces of nature do work. People do believe in such things, Pooja happens on Mahashivratri and people talk about Ichchadhari Naagins."
Talking about his equation with his co-stars, Arjun shared, "I know Adaa (Adaa Khan) and Mouni (Mouni Roy) from before. We have been meeting at different occasions via our common friends and I have done a music video with Mouni before. I met Sudha Ji (Sudha Chandran) for the first time and she is very sweet and a fine actress. It's good to work with her; she is funny and professional. Sometimes she also uses South Indian accents, which I find very cute. It's nice working with all of them."
Good luck Arjun!
