I am not just a pretty face: Barkha Singh

Engineering Girls' is a fresh take on the engineering hostel experience. Featuring three of the most popular young online talents, Barkha Singh, Sejal Kumar and Kritika Avasthi, the show follows the misadventures of three women who want to leave a mark on the world, despite the odds. Through five episodes, the trio chase their dreams of finding love and starting their own company, while being a part of the drama club and trying to submit their practical files on time.

We got in touch with Barkha Singh, one of the engineers, and she spoke about how there's more to her than a pretty face. "I'm an animal rights activist, a traveller and an environmentalist. I love working towards community upliftment in North- East India. In short, I am many other things, apart from being an actor. I would love the world to see all that I am and not just an actor with a pretty face. In fact, I recently gave a TEDx talk at NSIT Delhi, where I shared how I would love to see a change in people's perceptions of female actors. I am doing my bit to bring about a change in that."   

Well, we need more people like Barkha, don't we?
