I am a director's actor...says actress Aditi Rao Hydari

As Sudhir Mishra is known for his unique style of making films this time too the filmmaker comes up with a modernised take on "Devdas" by making it upside down as "Daas Dev" a romantic political thriller starring Rahul Bhat as Dev Pratap Chauhan, Richa Chadda as Paro, Aditi Rao Hydari as Chandni.

Yesterday, during the trailer launch of the film when the actress was asked how did she find to play the modernised character as Chandni in the film, She said, "I found very interesting Chandni to play. Sudhir (Mishra) sir puts me in these crazy situations where I actually on the first day of shooting I went up to him and said that I have no idea who I am and how I'm going to play Chandni." She adds further, "Even when he cast me in Yeh Saali Zindagi, I didn't imagine myself that I could do it. Even in this, he gave me a part which was alien to me. But it was fun to do. Because layer by layer it sort of gets into your system and then it's almost you play with relish."

While there two other actors also playing the lead role in the film but, the story is of the film will be told by Aditi's character in the film. She revealed, "For the first time we have Chandramukhi / Chandni from whose eyes the story is told. She is a girl in love but she also has a purpose. There are many insights that you will get from her. She is completely outsider and this is the whole world of politics. It was really amazing to do and I'm a directors actor. So I completely followed what Sudhir sir said."
