I also suffered from depression; can understand the feeling: Ankit Gupta on Tunisha Sharma's suicide

Tunisha Sharma’s death news has sent shock waves to the entire nation. Merely twenty years old Tunisha hanged herself on the sets of her Sony SAB show ‘Alibaba: Daastan-e- Kabul’. The news has left everyone affected.

Recently evicted contestant Ankit Gupta was spotted recently out an about in the city. While a lot of actors brush away the media and refrains from talking about sensitive matters, Ankit Gupta obliged the media and shared his thoughts when asked about Tunisha Sharma’s suicide.

Ankit stated, “It is extremely shocking. Someone as young as 20 years old deciding to give-up on life is surely upsetting. I’ve also been through depression and can understand what she must be going through. There comes one weak moment and a person needs to handle themselves in that moment. If one gets out of that weak moment courageously, he/she can brush suicidal thoughts. One should talk it out and share their feelings with someone in that weak moment."

He added, “I just want to add that nothing is bigger than the gift of life and love of parents and people shouldn’t take such decisions for anything or anyone. I request everyone to take care of their mental health and physical health”.

Recently, Tunisha’s mother gave out a statement demanding strict action against Sheezan. While the alleged accuse Sheezan, in his statement agreed on having an affair with Tunisha and breaking up days before her demise. He also revealed that they broke up because of their religion differences and age gap. He also stated that Tunisha tried to commit suicide earlier as well but he saved her and informed her mother about the same.
