Chennai, Jan 8 (IANS) Kids in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh Friday got one more choice of television (TV) channel to watch. The Walt Disney Company (India) Pvt Ltd launched the Tamil and Telugu feed for its Hungama TV.
'The Hungama TV, a pay channel, is for children in the age group 4-14 years with fun as the fundamental theme in all its programmes,' Venugopal Iyengar, associate director-Marketing, told reporters here Friday.
Three of the top five shows for kids namely Doraemon, Shin Chan and Kiteretsu are on the channel, he added.
Hungama TV, the third from Disney's stable - the other two being Disney XD and Disney - will be mainly crossing swords with Chutti TV (Tamil) and Kushi (Telugu), both from Sun Network, and Pogo, apart from its two sister channels.
According to Iyengar, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh are two important satellite channel markets with large number of television-owning households, which the company does not want to miss out.ALSO READ: Farah Khan reveals the unseen side of Shah Rukh & Gauri Khan's well-mannered kids
