Honey Singh, also known as Yo Yo Honey Singh, is a prominent figure in the Indian music industry, particularly in the rap and hip-hop genres. Known for his catchy beats, clever wordplay, and infectious energy, Honey Singh has won over fans across the country and beyond. After a brief hiatus from the limelight, Honey Singh recently made a triumphant return with the release of a highly anticipated new album, showcasing his signature style and cementing his place as one of the most popular and influential musicians of his generation.
The singer got in an exclusive conversation with India Forums and talked about his upcoming song, remakes in Bollywood and more.
"Remake achi hai remake karna bura nahi hai. Remake is tarah se hona chaiye ki jo orignal maker hai usko ye na lage ki inhone gana kharab kar diya. Gane ka jo essence hai voh kharab nahi hona chahiye. Ye nahi ki aap koi bhi beat uthake aur bas purani hook line gaa do aur gane ko bana do. This is not a remake. Maine 'Dil Choori Sada Hogaya' ka remake kiya jo logo ne pasand kiya, 'Chote Chote Peg Mare' Maine usko twist kiya that, the original was 'Dil tote tote hogaya'; thodasa crazy innovate karene ki koshish ki. Urvashi Urvashi maine Rehman sir ka gana remake kiya tha jo Shahid pe shoot huva. I think remake karna buri baat nahi mujhe lagta hai one of the finest remake artists koi agar industry mai toh no one than Bally Sidhu no one is bigger and better than him he is the best."( Remakes are good until and unless the orignal maker thinks they havnt ruined the song. The essence of the song shouldn't be lost. At the same time, a remake shouldn't just be made by picking up a beat and just adding one single line to it. I also remade 'Dil Chori Sada', Chote Chote Peg and people have loved it. So i think making a remake isn't bad)
Talking about the song he said, "It's different as it's a thet Punjab song, I have tried to sing with a different textures, I have tied to copy Amar Singh Chamikila in here. But I can't to better than him. So hopefully we decided to launch it as Honey 3.0 we hope people like it."
