Here's the one Indian TV show that talked about #MeToo over 8 years ago

In its own way of course...

The MeToo moment continues to make an impact on the Indian population, where not only the entertainment industry but also other sections have women coming forward to share their frightening and revealing stories.

The matter and the subject of the same is horrendous and some of the biggest celebrated names are now under scrutiny. However, the awareness of this has been teased in bits and pieces over years ago in some films and at times in some shows too.

Especially for a country like India, to have a TV show highlighting an issue as grave as this is a bold step even today, let alone the same being an occurrence several years ago.

But the same happened in the form of Star Plus' Maryada - Lekin Kab Tak? almost 8 years ago. Starring Ridhi Dogra Vashisth, Raqesh Vashisth Bapat, Indrani Haldar, and Kamya Punjabi, the show highlighted sexual harassment in its own through the protagonist which was Ridhi.

A fan recently marked the same, and Ridhi was quick to acknowledge that. Apart from being proud that she has been a part of something of this manner back then, she feels prouder to talk about it today too-

Years ahead of its time back then, so relevant today!
