31st January 2015 marks a very special day for the two pretty women of Bollywood, Amrita Arora and Preity Zinta. Born in the years 1981 and 1975 respectively, the ladies possess some similar characteristics like their numerology, their chirpiness, dimples, ever smiling face and a lot more. Arora is the sister of the daughter-in-law of the renowned Khan family, Malaika Arora Khan who is an established model and actress herself. The former is happily married to an entrepreneur and is a proud mother of two sons. Zinta is happily single and has been in the news recently for her Indian Premier League cricket team, King XI Punjab.

Arora made her debut opposite Fardeen Khan with Kitne Door Kitne Paas in the year 2002. The film didn't make it big at the box-office and with the audience alike. Other movies in her credit are Awaara Paagal Deewana (2002), Ek Aur Ek Gyarah (2003), Zameen (2003) and Girlfriend (2004), a cult movie in which she played the role of a homosexual opposite Isha Koppikar. The movie created controversy for the open storyline being portrayed on the silver screen. She came into limelight after her hot and sizzling item number "Dilli Ki Sardi" from the movie Zameen. She did cameo roles in the movies Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), Heyy Babby (2007), Om Shanti Om (2007), Heroes (2007), Golmaal Returns (2008) and Kambhaqt Ishq (2009). Her career graph didn't see many ups during the entire period that she was active in the industry. Nevertheless, her upcoming movie is Ek Tho Chance, an erotic thriller with Purab Kohli and Ali Fazal directed by Saeed Akhtar Mirza.

Talking about the "Pretty Woman", we begin with her debut in Bollywood, which happened with Dil Se opposite the King of the industry, Shah Rukh Khan and Soldier opposite Bobby Deol in the year 1998, that earned her the Best Filmfare Debut Female. A graduate in Criminal Pyshology, the chirpy actress is well versed in 4 major languages Hindi, English, Telugu and Punjabi. Not only is she skilled in acting, she is a social activist, column writer, a television presenter, stage performer and the owner of a leading cricket team Kings XI Punjab in Indian Premier League.

In films, she chose to play strong characters in her well-selected movies that entirely changed the perception of Indian actresses. By portraying a teenage young mother in the movie Kya Kehna (2000), she earned critic's acclaim and appreciation worldwide. She experimented with a variety of roles and scripts to bring out the best in her. Zinta's successful Bollywood career includes movies Chori Chori Chupke Chupke (2001), Armaan (2003), The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003), Kal Ho Naa Ho (2003), Koi...Mil Gaya (2003), Lakshya (2004), Veer Zaara (2004), Salaam Namaste (2005), Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (2006) and many more. She gave the industry some top engrossing movies in the consecutive years opposite the leading men of the industry then. She won the Filmfare award for Best Actress in 2003 for Kal Ho Naa Ho. All these added together made her the leading actress of Hindi Cinema. She is also the proud owner of the Silver Hugo Award for Best Actress (2008) for her Canadian Film Heaven on Earth.

Zinta was awarded the Godfrey Philips National Bravery Award in the year 2003 for expressing her strong views in the mafia case where she was the only witness. Undoubtedly, she has set high standards and examples for the newer lot with her professional and as well her social appearances.
