The untimely death of actress and model Shefali Jariwala has left the entertainment industry stunned. Best known for her iconic appearance in the early 2000s hit remix Kaanta Laga, Shefali passed away recently due to a sudden cardiac arrest. She was 41. As tributes continue to pour in from friends, fans, and colleagues, her former husband Harmeet Singh, of the popular musical duo Meet Bros, has opened up about the loss in a conversation with senior journalist Vickey Lalwani.
Speaking from Europe, Harmeet expressed shock over Shefali’s demise. “The fact that Shefali is no more is shattering,” he said. The two were married from 2005 to 2009. Their marriage, though short-lived, remained a significant chapter in both their lives. The former couple had a highly publicized separation, but over time, any bitterness between them seemed to fade, and Harmeet recalls a moment of quiet reconciliation.
“I remember having gone to Bangladesh for a show about two-three years ago,” Harmeet shared. “Sunny Leone and Shefali were also there. We three came back together in a private plane, and Shefali and I sat next to each other. And yes, there was quite a long conversation that we had.” He also recalled running into her at social events and parties, adding, “We both wished each other warmly. It was always cordial.”
