Hackers post bizarre stories from Robert Downey Jr’s Instagram handle!

Today afternoon, Robert Downey Jr’s Instagram handle was compromised as the hackers posted weird stories from his social media handle. They also changed the Iron Man actor’s bio and promoted the idea of giving away PlayStation and Amazon gift cards and Tesla Model Xs too. His IG bio read: “FREE iPhone XS”.

Downey told fans to ‘steer clear’ of his Instagram account after it was targeted by hackers. The actor took to his Twitter and addressing the issue he said, “I'm sorry to say my Instagram has been compromised... Please steer clear for the time being until it's sorted. Thank you all. I love you 3000.”

There’s no telling how far the hackers could go and perhaps this was one of the most bizarre reasons to hack a celebrities account. 

The reports in Yahoo Movies suggested not to click any of these links and ads while that perhaps goes without saying, he does have 43.2 million followers, so there's probably been some traffic heading in that direction.

Apart from having his bio changed the hackers also posted a link which seemed to be a form. And it is advised that it should be avoided at all costs.

Meanwhile, fans also came to Downey’s help as one of the twitter posts suggested that the hackers got into his account and changed the recovery email, making this a more difficult situation to resolve.
