Gulshan Devaiah on Blurr: This film was challenging for Taapsee and Abhilash; I had the easy part
In a conversation with India Forums, Gulshan Devaiah shared his experience on working with Ajay Bahl in the film 'Blurr' and also his character.
Recently, Taapsee Pannu starrer film 'Blurr' was released digitally on Zee5. The film also featured actors Gulshan Devaiah and Abhilash Thapliyal in pivotal roles. In a recent interview, India Forums got in touch with Gulshan and chatted with him about the film, his role and his camaraderie with director Ajay Bahl.
When asked about his approach towards the role as the film revolves around a dark and thrilling subject, he said,
"I was always fooling around on the sets. Have you seen the BTS, I have shared? I was doing some monkey business. I think Ajay Bahl wanted a serious actor and he probably regretted casting me. He thought I'll come with really sombre and serious mood, and I am the opposite of what my character asks."
He further added,
"To be perfectly honest, it wasn't a really challenging role. It was an easy part and my experience and whatever know how and my craft was good enough to do it. It didn't challenge me much. This film was challenging for Taapsee and Abhilash. It is really challenging for them. I had the easy part and all I needed to do really, any competent hardworking actor would have done and I looked at it as an opportunity to work with Ajay and Taapsee and do something which is like easy."
Talking about his character Neil in the film, he said,
"It was Ajay's idea for me to grow the beard and have a salt and pepper beard which was also a different look for me so, I loved all the ideas he shared."
The film had received rave reviews from the audiences and mixed reactions from the critics.
