One of the most awaited festivals, Ganesh Chaturthi is just around the corner, the 10 days festivities begin and everybody is excited yet restricted with the ongoing pandemic situation. This year it won't be celebrated with the usual grandeur though actors are doing their bit by sharing important messages through social media or every way possible.

One such actor is Gulki Joshi, who is urging people to go green and encouraging DIY Lord Ganesha idols. The significance of this aims at reducing water crisis and pollution caused due to non-eco-friendly products used to make the idols. Sharing her thoughts she says, "This is one of the festivals I like but with this COVID situation, and by seeing pollution around me I have realized that there are better ways of celebrating this festival, more sustainable ways. As an actor, I have a responsibility to influence the audience and make them realize that they can celebrate the festivals with all pomp with a sustainable solution."

A lot of actors in the industry like Rithvik Dhanjani, Karan Wahi, Raqesh Bapat, Juhi Parmar are spreading awareness of environment-friendly celebrations with their beautiful self sculptured Lord Ganesha idols
