'Gold Awards' comes to Mumbai this year..

Gold Awards, the 1st Global Indian Television Awards which was held in Mauritius and Dubai respectively in its first two years, comes to India for the very first time!! This year, the awards will be held in Mumbai sometime in May.

When contacted, Vikas Kalantri confirmed the news and said, "Yes, this time around, Gold Awards will be organized in Mumbai. We are planning for it on a large scale. We organized it at Mauritus in the first year, while Dubai was the destination last year. We are now in association with Maharastha Tourism for the event".

For the uninitiated, Gold Awards in its first year had three partners in Anuj Saxena, Vikas Kalantri and Pooja Ghai Rawal. In its second year, the Awards was changed to Platinum Television Awards, an initiative by White Leaf Entertainment with the withdrawal of Anuj Saxena. This time, Pooja Ghai Rawal is not part of the Awards, and will be managed solely by Vikas Kalantri.

Confirming this, Vikas told us, "Yes, I am solely producing the Awards this year. It is a huge responsibility, and we are going to have many a events for the same".
