Tajikistani singer and former Bigg Boss 16 contestant Abdu Rozik was briefly held for questioning by police at Dubai International Airport on Saturday, July 12, following reports of an alleged theft. The incident quickly drew attention after several media outlets claimed Rozik had been arrested. However, his management agency later issued a clarification stating that no arrest had taken place.
According to a statement issued by S-Line Project, the agency representing Rozik, the 21-year-old was only detained for a short period while authorities conducted an inquiry. “First of all, he is not arrested; he was only detained by the police. Abdu Rozik gave his explanations and was released. Today, he will participate in the award ceremony, which will be held in Dubai,” the agency said. It also raised concerns over the accuracy of media reporting and confirmed plans to pursue legal action to protect the singer's image.
Rozik did not directly address the detention reports but made a brief statement during his appearance at the India International Influencer Awards in Dubai, which took place the same evening. On the red carpet, he said, “I want to say to everyone, I love Dubai, and I am here with all of you. God is always with the right person. I am fine; everything is good. Lots of love and thank you so much for supporting me.”

While the specific reason behind the police action remains unclear, no formal charges have been filed. Authorities in Dubai have not released an official statement regarding the incident. Rozik’s agency has committed to sharing more information in the coming days, particularly addressing the Indian media.
Rozik, who gained widespread popularity in India during his time on Bigg Boss 16, currently resides in the UAE and holds a Golden Visa.
