Skies always blue,
Sun without rain,
Joy without sorrow
Peace without pain
Help from above
Unfalling sympathy
Undying Love!!
Does God really exist and help us when we are in need? Is God "omnipotent" and "omnipresent"? We always ask this question to ourselves, but all the answers lie within us. If we believe in God he exists, if we don't he doesn’t!
We asked the stars of Tellywood to share with us their beliefs...
Ajay Singh Chowdhury:
There are so many mythological shows coming up these days, what do you have to say about it: Basically I think people are running away from God. In this mechanical life, people are not much paying attention to God and these serials get people closer to the Almighty. People can get connected to God and know the history through these shows.
What would you like to ask the Almighty, if you'd his phone number: I will not ask anything, but I will ask him to come down so that I can see him. (Laughs)
When do you most pray to God: I don’t pray very intensely. I pray everyday. Most of the people pray in their difficult times but I am not like that and sometimes I even ask why I don’t have problems in life. I treat God as my friend and usually address him as Yaar.
Have you come across any incident where you said – “God Tussi Great Ho”: Whatever decision I take, God is with me and I always pray to help me in taking correct decisions. I have always felt like saying – “God Tussi Great Ho” because he is always with me.
There are so many mythological shows coming up these days, what do you have to say about it: Trend keeps changing in television and this time it’s the trend for mythological serials. Even if the same story has already been shown on television, producers try to make it different from the other.
What would you like to ask the Almighty, if you'd his phone number: I would just want to thank him for making me what I am today. I have been blessed with some special things which many others don’t have and I should be thankful to him for not making me suffer in life. I would also thank him for making me do mistakes so I can learn from them.
When do you most pray to God: I don’t go much to temples, but I do pray daily and there is also a prayer which I say before going to bed. I do pray hard when I need some solution to a problem in life.
Have you come across any incident where you said – “God Tussi Great Ho”:It happened very recently where I desperately wanted to be part of Zara Nachke Dikha. I was praying in the night and was wondering if there can be some miracle and in the morning my dreams came true as I was called for a replacement. I then said God Tussi Great Ho.
Sudeep Sahir:
There are so many mythological shows coming up these days, what do you have to say about it: Television viewers comprise mostly of women and they have more faith in God than men which is the reason for high TRP’s of such shows. Moreover, its important that we watch such shows to know the history.
What would you like to ask the Almighty, if you'd his phone number: First of all I can’t believe I am getting the number of God and if I get, I will just ask for happiness. Whenever I visit any temple I just ask him to bless me with happiness because whatever money you have, one cannot be happy without happiness.
When do you most pray to God: I pray daily as soon as I wake up and also perform pooja before I leave for work.
Have you come across any incident where you said – “God Tussi Great Ho”:I say that everyday. I consider myself lucky to have got the good wishes of God and always thank him for this.
Amrapali Gupta:
There are so many mythological shows coming up these days, what do you have to say about it: Basically it targets the youth. This generation knows about computer games, disco but is unaware of these mythological stories. I myself had no idea about Shani Bhagwan but after watching the show, I am getting to know many things.
What would you like to ask the Almighty, if you'd his phone number: I would ask him why he made man and also made them fight with each other. I would want him to come down and control all the evil things on earth.
When do you most pray to God: I pray everyday and read Hanuman Chalisa daily.
Have you come across any incident where you said – “God Tussi Great Ho”: I had some problem in my personal life when I was in Lucknow. People asked me to chant Hanuman Chalisa and I did. I prayed a lot to Hanuman to provide me strength and I easily came out of the problems. This definitely made me say God Tussi Great Ho.
Mona Singh:
There are so many mythological shows coming up these days, what you have to say about it: Most of us have watched the earlier versions of various mythological shows and with the help of these shows, younger generation will get to know the history. I can’t watch these shows because I can’t relate to them as I more relate to the older versions but surely it’s useful for the youth.
What would you like to ask the Almighty, if you'd his phone number: I will just ask for peace, happiness and long life for me and my family.
When do you most pray to God: I pray everyday but mostly I pray whenever I get nervous.
Have you come across any incident where you said – “God Tussi Great Ho”: I said when I got Jassi and also when I won Jhalak. Once it happened in my college where I met with an accident during my final exams. No one thought I would be able to give my exam, but I gave the exams and came out with flying colors.
Mohit Mallik:
There are so many mythological shows coming up these days, what you have to say about it: It is very nice and educative. I didn’t know many aspects of Mahabharat but after watching the show I am getting to know about them. Younger generation get to watch and learn something good from the shows.
What would you like to ask the Almighty, if you'd his phone number: I will just pray for my family and everyone to be happy.
When do you most pray to God: I always pray when I wake up and pray when I am in stress. People forget God when happy and remember him when they are in trouble. But prayer actually helps us to vent out its way to distract ourselves. When I have lots of things to say, I go to gurudwara and pray.
Have you come across any incident where you said – “God Tussi Great Ho”: God has helped me throughout my career. I came from Delhi to Bombay and became popular. My family is very orthodox and people don’t go out to make a career. But I am lucky enough to have gotten the chance to fulfill my dreams.
