Giaa Manek supports a noble cause!

Giaa Manek who rose to fame with Star Plus' Saath Nibhana Saathiya and last seen as Jeannie of SAB TV's Jeannie Aur Juju may be on a sabbatical these days but she has to kept herself away from involving herself in a noble cause.

This pretty bubbly actress had recently visited an award function which will be telecasted on Life OK. The event was basically organized to honor and celebrate the personalities who have contributed in health and women's safety. We got in touch with the actress herself to know more about what she thinks of women safety and her involvement with a cause like this-

"Women's safety is really important at this time. The kind of things that are happening today is really scary. When an event like rape or molestation happens, it is completely uncalled for. Nobody knows that something like this will ever happen. Personally, when I leave my house for some party or event I make sure that I inform at least six people as to where I am going. I inform my family members who live in different places as to where I am going so if anytime I am in trouble, my family members can reach out to me. Whenever I move out for any event, I try and reach back home by midnight. I do not stay back late because as a woman, I cannot invite trouble. You need to take precautions that something like this never happen to you. If I see something wrong happening, personally or professionally, I always take a stand. I know my fans follow me and I want to inspire them and pass on a message to them to chose the right always and take a stand for what is wrong.  

So, when I got a call from them and they told me that they wanted me to present a prestigious award, I thought to myself that I have to get myself involved in such noble cause. I am so happy that I was a part of an event like this."
