Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin actor Sheetal Maulik on joining 'Barsatein - Mausam Pyar Ka

Sheetal Maulik, who was last seen as Sonali Chavan in the television show 'Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Mein', is excited to join the cast of 'Barsatein - Mausam Pyar Ka' and will be seen playing the role of Neeta Khurana, Simba Nagpal's mother in the show. 

She said, "I'm quite excited to join the show, and my role, Sonali, is quite challenging and has many layers. As an actor, I was waiting to play such a promising role. She is not a typical character we generally see in TV dramas. As she is all totally different, she's serious, dominating, and means business."

The actor revealed she's happy for not being typecast on TV screens.

She continued, "Getting typecast is an actor's major challenge while working on TV screens. I'm happy that my role is completely different from the last one. Here I am getting to wear stylish outfits, something to what I'm used to in my real life. I have mostly worn saris for my previous characters, which might be why people couldn't envision me as a modern character. I am looking forward to breaking that mould and wish it helps me in future to get good projects or something on digital platforms, too."

Sheetal is known for featuring in shows like Woh Rehne Waali Mehlon Ki, Yeh Un Dinon Ki Baat Hai, and Jeet Gayi Toh Piya Morey, among others.
