Ghazal Rai in a parallel role instead of lead?

Ghazal Rai who was seen in Left Right Left on SAB TV along with his friend and co-star Kunal Karan Kapoor is currently seen in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha Season 2 on Colors. She has also done few episodic in Fear Files on Zee TV.

However, she was the first choice for the role that Nia Sharma bagged for Filmfarm Productions.

Our source informs us that, "Ghazal Rai had been called for a pivotal lead role in Filmfarm Productions upcoming show which has a Rajasthani backdrop. She was to be the main lead is what she was told when she went for the audition. Once there she was told that since she has a round face she would fit the parallel role as they wanted a girl with an oval face for the lead role."

This obviously left Ghazal upset, "They knew Ghazal's facial structure yet they called her for the look test and this was told to her. She gave the audition but still doesn't know what next to expect."

After listening to this we called up Ghazal Rai to know her story.

This is what she had to say, "The thing is that these things happen in the industry and its nothing new... but yes, sometimes the production houses call us for something and we are told to do something opposite when we go for the audition. This is what I too faced and I have no issues playing various shades, or roles. I am looking forward to all kinds of role and good work is always welcome."
