Gaurav Taneja aka Flying Beast breaks silence on Bigg Boss 19: 'Haan, main jaa raha hoon...'

Gaurav Taneja, popularly known as Flying Beast, is a well-known social media personality, especially recognised for his strong presence on YouTube through his daily vlogs. While he has often made headlines for various reasons, he is currently in the spotlight due to rumours about his participation in the much-awaited reality show, Bigg Boss 19. As speculation continues to grow, the YouTuber recently addressed the buzz in one of his regular vlogs, where he spoke about the show, the rumours surrounding his involvement, and much more.

Clearing the rumours, he says, "Bhai mere ko log itne DM kar rahe hain ki aap Bigg Boss 19 ja rahe ho. Haan main Bigg Boss 19 ja raha hoon." (adds a meme, then clarifies) "Are bhai nahi ja raha bhai Bigg Boss 19. Logon ne pareshan kar diya aur pata nahi kisne toh koi PR page hai usne laga di meri photo ki main ja raha hoon aur bhi teen chaar log ja rahe hain. Toh actually Bigg Boss jab se main Fit Muscle TV mein tha covid se pehle, tab unhone first time approach kiya tha. Phir ek baar jab couples wale gaye the toh mere ko aur Ritu ko phir se approach kiya tha."

He explained that although he told them he was busy, he never outright said he'd never do Bigg Boss. On social media, one can't make definitive statements because situations can change. If he ever needs to join the show, people might pull up old posts where he criticised or trolled someone, maybe even a Bollywood celebrity, and later, he might have to work with the same person. That's why, in the digital world, especially on social media, it's important to avoid such behaviour if you want to survive professionally.

Talking about how he has been approached several times over the years, Gaurav adds, "Toh waise mera bhi hai ki bhai kuch aisa hai nahi... but haan main is baar toh nahi ja raha. Aur pichhle chaar paanch saal se bhi ho chuki hai meri meeting Endemol ke saath. Nahi ban raha hisaab kitaab. Mera meri jo dincharya filhaal ab hai, mujhe nahi lagta ki is dincharya ko main wahan kar paaunga. Aur meri dincharya mere liye bahut important hai. Toh woh mujhe toh maintain karni hi karni hai bhai. Toh isliye nahi ho pa raha."

Ahead, he talks about the smart marketing move by the Bigg Boss team. He recalls a similar experience after appearing on Shark Tank, where the show's team approached him for interviews as part of their marketing strategy. Since he also runs two companies, he understands the importance of promotion. He talks about how rumours of his participation in Bigg Boss 19 started spreading, he hadn't confirmed anything, but overnight, he was flooded with messages asking if he was joining.

He then reflects on how drama is what sells in Bigg Boss. Watching two people fight is entertaining, he admits, even he enjoys it. Conflict grabs attention, and that's what keeps audiences hooked.

Talking about his earlier experience on a television reality show, Gaurav says, "Aur maine bhi ek TV show mein kaam karke dekh liya hai... ki waise log sab dost hote hain, lekin unko bhi pata hai ki unka kaam kya hai. Unko pata hai unka kaam wahan pe TRP dena hai. TRP denge toh aur kaam milega aage. Aur nahi denge toh bhai industry se out ho jaayenge. Director also loves people who give TRP. Toh yaar thoda bahut hota hai wahan pe ki yaar aapko ladoge toh maza aayega logon ko dekhne mein."

Sharing his candid thoughts on why he wouldn't be comfortable participating in Bigg Boss, Gaurav explains, "Trying to be very diplomatic... of course. Ab mujhe lagta nahi hai ki main wahan jaa kar zabardasti kisi se ladai kar sakta hoon. Waise bhi nahi kar sakta. Aur TV pe bhi main, ab bas ho gaya mera yaar. Kisi ko kyun bura bhala bole, chahe nakli bhi bole bhai... kyun bura bhala bole? Toh mera woh thoda scenario ho gaya hai... Kyun bhai wahan jaa ke chillaao, apna yeh karo?

Plus doosri cheez hai, yaar I do not want to go on a show where the edit is in someone else's hand. And you are not sure ki aapki image kaisi aayegi. Bhai positive bhi aa sakti hai bhai, negative bhi aa sakti hai bhai. Toh woh risk abhi main apne jeevan mein lena nahi chahta."

He continues, "Agar toh main tumhe kisi show mein dikh gaya... Aur yeh main risk le liya ki bhaiya apni reputation pe ki unke haath mein de diya, toh samajh lena bhai tumhare bhai ko andha paisa mila hai. Main bas yeh hi keh sakta hoon end mein. Waise toh mann nahi jaane ka, Lekin haan koi andha paisa de dega toh shayad."

In conclusion, he says Bigg Boss is a great show and wishes the team well. He adds that one should never speak too harshly or definitively about not doing a show like this, because life can change. He explains that if circumstances change and someone is left with no other option but to participate, he wonders, what if I run out of all my options to earn? He refers to actor Ranveer Shorey’s situation, who joined the show when he had no work. That’s why, he says, no one should make such strong statements. Just because things are going well today doesn’t mean they will always stay that way. If a tough time comes tomorrow, those words might come back to haunt you. He ends by acknowledging that Bigg Boss is doing a good job.
