Gaurav Khanna of Anupamaa: The way we treat romance in this show is very different and something new

Gaurav Khanna's entry in Rajan Shahi's Anupamaa has been quite the feat and it continues to be so for the fans and viewers. The show has managed to keep the audiences hooked with everything it has in store, the chemistry between Anuj and Anupama (Rupali Ganguly), among other things. India Forums got in touch with Gaurav for a quick conversation and here's an excerpt from the same.

About the ongoing track, how the show has been shaping up, and more, Gaurav tells us,

This is a part and parcel of an actor's life, the character and the story moves from one place to other in TV, and similarly, there have been ups and downs in the whole story forward since Anuj's entry, and personally speaking, I would say there is a lot of mature romance and very very different sort of romance on-screen. I have done a lot of romance on TV shows but the way we treat romance in this show is very different and something new and I feel that's what people like because its nothing what they've seen off late and not the run of the mill kind of romance. 

He further added,

It is mature and something you can sit and watch with the whole family and I feel that is the USP of the show that the story is very believable and at times, there are ups and downs because it is an entertaining show and there would be things which will be out of the box but the core of the story is very believable and that's what I think works for the show.

Meanwhile, a lot has been going on in the show. In the upcoming episode, we will see that Anuj saves Anupamaa from falling. She also will tell Anuj it's a fresh start for them and takes him to her rented accommodation while Vanraj reaches home and tells the Shahs that earlier, Anupamaa was living with GK, Malvika and Anuj, and now she will be in a live-in relationship with Anuj as she has taken him to her house.
