Game of Thrones: Why Jon Snow did not pet Ghost? Here's why!

The viewers of Game of Thrones were dissatisfied with Episode 4 as they had expected quite a lot! Already, the episode has been receiving dozens of flak with the appearance of a Starbucks cup!

Another disappointing factor of the episode was when Jon Snow bids goodbye to Tormund, Samwell and Gilly but he looks at his direwolf ghost, gives a nod and leaves sans any petting! He sends his direwolf to the wild with wildlings as he won't be able to survive in South. The same added to show's viewers disappointment as there was no scene of reunion in the episode 1 too. In the Battle of Winterfell, the ghost had even lost an ear.

The director of the show, David Nutter solved the mystery stating direwolves are apart of CG (Computer Graphics) creation and they felt that it was best to keep it as simple as possible. They even felt that the nod was very powerful enough for the parting. He even added that before going to Kings Landing, Jon needed a parting with Tormund and Samwell and it was better to keep Ghost to the side and have a very small moment with him. 

And that moment itself was powerful.

Overall the Season 8 is going great and now the game for throne is actually going to begin.
