From Heropanti to National Award Winner: Kriti Sanon marks 10 Years in Hindi cinema

Kriti Sanon has been making significant strides in the Hindi film industry this year with her movies "Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya" and "Crew" performing well at the box office. Her performances in both films have received widespread acclaim.

Today, May 23, marks a special milestone for Kriti as she celebrates ten years in Bollywood. Her debut film, "Heropanti," opposite Tiger Shroff, was released on this day in 2014. To commemorate the occasion, Kriti shared a heartfelt note on Instagram.

Kriti posted a touching video that highlights her journey in Hindi cinema so far. The video features clips from her movies and behind-the-scenes moments from the sets. It also includes the memorable moment when she won the Best Actress National Award for her role in "Mimi."

In her caption, Kriti reflected on her decade-long journey with a heartfelt message. She wrote, 

“Been 10 years since my debut in the Hindi Film Industry! The best, most magical decade of my life so far! Feels like yesterday when I stepped on a film set for the very first time and felt.. ALIVE.. like i was meant to be here.. I’ve learnt so so much, grown & evolved both as a person and an actor, found some lovely friends and beautiful equations and made memories that will forever make me smile.”

Kriti expressed her gratitude to her supporters and audience, 

“Eternally grateful to each and every person who has been a part of my journey, supported me, believed in me, taught me, or even walked along some distance.. And A big heartfelt Thank You to my fans and audiences for the constant love and support that has been my fuel!”

Ending on an inspirational note, she encouraged her followers, 

“Dream big, Believe you can, Give it your all, Repeat. Because if I can, So can you!” She also hinted at future projects, adding, “P.S. The best is yet to come!”

For the unversed, the 2021 comedy-drama "Mimi," where Kriti played a surrogate mother, remains one of her most acclaimed roles.

In 2024, Kriti entertained audiences first as SIFRA, a robot, in "Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya" with Shahid Kapoor. Later, in "Crew," she portrayed an air hostess in a female-led heist comedy alongside Kareena Kapoor Khan and Tabu.
