Shling Brring Sarrvaling, nostalgic enough?

Shararat- thoda jaadu, thodi nazaakat was a beautiful fantasy sitcom which aired on Star Plus. It was loosely based on the American sitcom Sabrina, the teenage witch. Well, Netflix recasted Sabrina and brought a whole new episodes, so why not Shararat?

Yes, you heard it right!

We are re-casting the main characters of the show and are sure that you are going to love the re cast. Just wait and watch. Same story but different cast!

Don't make any guesses, just read below...

Jia Malhotra: Shivangi Joshi

Jia, was the protagonist of the show and was well played by Shruti Seth. The 18 year old girl, who is always confused between her normal human life and her witch family. Shivangi will do the perfect justice to the character. We can clearly picture her getting all confused, sad at random happenings, yet  remaining bubbly with the support of her family. Can you already hear her saying, "Ab mein kya karu naani?"

Sushma Mehra aka Naani: Supriya Pathak

The very own naani, played by none other than Farida Jalal was every one's favorite, wasn't she? Remember the cute old witch, naani? How she used to tell her grand daughter to use her magical powers for everything. Yet be a call away at the time of need and solve all of Jia's problems. She was naughty, savage and so bubbly and had a heart of gold. We know that the versatile actor, Supriya Pathak can pull off any role very well. And we are sure that she can play the adorable naani. She can make wonders for the blunders!

Dhruv: Priyank Sharma

Dhruv, which was played by smart looking, Karanvir Bohra was literally a charm factor in the show. He was the dashing stud. He was the basket ball player and one of Jia's close friends. Jia had a major crush on him. Priyank can do this character really well. He has charming looks and is just worth drooling! He will even look good opposite Shivangi. Forget Jia, we will have a crush on this Dhruv, won't we?

Dr. Suraj Malhota: Rajesh Kumar

Suraj Malhotra, played by Mahesh Thakur was so cool. He was the muggle who was always irritated with his wife, daughter and majorly his mother-in-law. Yet he loved all of them immensely! He was surely a family man and was at a rescue for them. Suraj was Jia's dad and was a warm man. Rajesh can do good job being the father here. He can be smart and respectable as well.

Radha Malhotra: Shilpa Shinde

Radha was played by Poonam Narula. She was a pretty and wise mother of Jia. She always made sure that every one was happy and even did a lot for her beloved husband. Radha was the typical mother, who used to be cautious about her daughter and her naughty mother. Shilpa will look good in this character and bring justice to it.

Shanti Saberwal: Bharti Singh

Shanti Aunty, played by Shoma Anand was a classic one. She was like the detective neighbor who was sure that something was not right with the Malhotra family. She used to eavesdrop, watch the family and was a drama in herself. She used to come to Malhotra house to ask for something or the other, be it sugar or dahi. Bharti can do a mind blowing job and the audience would love her! Shanti also used to hit on Suraj and we can clearly picture her flirting! Bharti, it is then!

Parminder aka Pam: Karishma Sharma

Pam was played by Simple Kaul. She was NRI return and a total drama queen. Jia hated her as she made sure that she would have all of Dhruv's attention. She even told that she would snatch Meeta, her best friend from her. Karishma has the right attitude to play Pam.We would also love to watch Jia teaching Pam some lessons for messing with her guy. Won't you love it?

Meeta: Aditi Bhatia

Meeta was Jia's best friend and was played by Additi Mallik. Meeta was a dumb but really sweet girl. She was always in her own dreams and would run behind Raja, which he used to get frustrated about. Aditi can do a good job in playing Meeta's character. She would be a good support system for Jia.

Raja: Sumit Bharadwaj

Raja was Dhruv's best friend. He was played by Harsh Vashisht. He was good but was always irritated by Meeta running after him, he clearly got attracted to Pam and would buzz around her. Raja and Dhruv shared a very brotherly bond and Sumit would look real nice in this role. He and Priyank would be a killer combination to watch for.

Well, Shararat was a very popular show and the audience loved this fantasy drama. The makers should try to re-create it. Season 2, perhaps? We would be the first one to watch or stream this.
