Following her 'Parchhain' is Megha Gupta..

Actress Megha Gupta is on cloud nine these days, and a very busy person too. She is shooting for Rajasri Production's new show on NDTV Imagine. Titled 'Main Teri Parchhain Hoon', Megha plays the role of a bubly young girl named Aanchal in the serial. Everything is going the right way in her life, including her career, her love; till something untoward happens in her life and she becomes someone's shadow.

But how did Megha manage to bag this role? "It's an interesting story of how I got this offer. The producers must have seen me in Kumkum, Mamta and CID and called me for an audition", says the actress. Megha was in two minds whether to go for the audition or not. "Frankly speaking, I am a very lazy person. We shoot for CID in Madh Island, whereas Rajasri Productions has their office near Sidhhi Vinayak Temple. It's so far away (a couple of hour's journey in peak traffic) that I was just not feeling like going!" At the same time, the offer was irresistible so Megha did want to make it for the audition. "I was off for shooting one day and decided to go for it. I went to their office, had my look test and audition and stepped into Aanchal's role!", explains the pretty actress with a smile of satisfaction on her face.

"It was like a dream come true for me -- speaking to Kavitaji, Soorajji and their father", says Megha whose role in the serial will soon be that of a mother of three kids. Not everyone in the glamour world would like to do something like that, but Megha is very excited. "Don't worry, I am not playing an old mother! People will see me as a young mother. And trust me, working with the kids in the show, I had a fabulous time."

Megha had to work with equal elan with a four-year-old kid and a 65-year-old person! How was the experience of working with the protagonist Sameer Dharmadhikari? " He is a wonderful co-actor and has been helping me a lot. He gives me a lot of tips on acting based on his experience," says the starlet. Any regrets of leaving Kumkum? "Not really. You need to grow up in your life, and at that point of time Kumkum was not offering me what I wanted", says a confident actress. But now that Neeti's role is in limelight, does she regret? "Neeti's role is very precious to me as this is the first ever role in my career. And I have no regrets because I have got a break with one of the most prestigious production houses."

So what next? "Right now I am concentrating on this new show. I hope this serial will create a new wave in the audiences' mind and trust me, every girl will be able to relate to Anchal's character. Watch this show and don't look back at CID, Kumkum or Mamta. You will discover a new Megha", says the actress as she signs off.
