FINALLY! Rashmi Sharma talks about the 'makkhi' & 'G.O.T' saga related to 'Sasural Simar Ka'

Producer Rashmi Sharma is a certain stalwart in the industry, where she has helmed a barrage of shows over the years, with some of them being roaring successes. Be it Saath Nibhana Saathiya or Sasural Simar Ka, multiple shows by her have been credited with not only running long, but also amassing a huge fan base.

However, when it comes to Sasural Simar Ka, the show has always been the talk of the town for multiple reasons. Infact, the folks who do not watch TV at all would certainly know about Sasural Simar Ka courtesy the memes and jokes that surfaced around it.

The most famous of the two incidents pertaining the show were, how Simar (Dipika Kakar) once transformed into a makkhi and the other one on how the show LITERALLY copied the famous Hall Of Faces promo from the global epic drama, Game Of Thrones.

And now, after all this while, in a vis-a-vis conversation with producer Rashmi Sharma herself, we asked her about her take on the whole saga. Here's what she had to say-

"To be very honest, I took all these things very positively at that time. I felt that if so many people are talking about it, then people are indeed watching it. Yes, we did what we did. I and my team have no regrets or no shame about it whatsoever. Whatever we did, we did it full conviction. Some people accepted it, while some rejected it. And the rejection only made us learn about things. Even today, wherever I go, people are talking about Sasural Simar Ka and the many tracks that it showed. So, hearing all this, I infact feel good about it. Even if someone is talking ill about it, I observe and interpret that as how it is being noticed atleast. I mean if you are talking ill about it, that means you have for sure seen it. So, I remain unfazed by any of these things."

Well, things certainly a lot clearer now.
