Finally! Deepika found her King in Fawad Khan

It's been a long time, speculations have been revolving about the cast of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's next venture 'Padmavati'.

Finally, putting an end to all the rumours and confusions, the filmmaker has roped in Fawad Khan to play the King.

As per reports in a leading daily, the Pakistani actor will be playing Deepika's on-screen husband in the periodic drama.

A close source has revealed, "Bhansali wants 200 days from all his lead actors, including Ranveer Singh (Alauddin Khilji) and Deepika Padukone (Padmavati). Fawad has those days to spare. In between, he has Karan Johar's production, but it should not be a problem as KJo and Bhansali share a good equation. So they will work it out. It's too big an offer for Fawad to pass up." (sic)

The source further told the leading daily that Shah Rukh Khan, Shahid Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Ali Zafar were approached but no one wanted to play the second fiddle to Ranveer.
