Everything I prayed for: Parineeti Chopra shares surreal engagement pictures with Raghav Chadha

After much anticipation, Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha have finally exchanged engagement rings in a lavish ceremony held at Kapurthala House in Connaught Place, Delhi. The private affair was attended by close friends, family members, political figures, and celebrities from the entertainment industry. Priyanka Chopra, Arwind Kejriwal, Manish Malhotra and others marked their presence at the special occasion.

According to reports, Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha's engagement ceremony was a traditional affair that began with the chanting of the Sukhmani Sahib from the Guru Granth Sahib, followed by the 'ardas' or the holy prayer.

Without delaying the first glimpse of their special day, Parineeti took to her social media account and shared a slew of dreamy pictures from her engagement. Sharing the same, she wrote, "Everything I prayed for .. I said yes! ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮਿਹਰ ਕਰਨ।💍(Waheguru Ji have mercy. )🙏🏻"

 Going by the pictures, the couple's engagement theme was pastel-coloured. Parineeti and Raghav were seen in matching ivory outfits, with Parineeti donning a beautiful floor-length ethnic gown designed by Manish Malhotra. Raghav opted for a minimalist achkan designed by fashion designer Pawan Sachdeva. The couple looked stunning and made a picture-perfect pair on their special day.

For the unversed, their engagement venue, Kapurthala House, is now the official residence of the Governor and Chief Minister of Punjab whenever they are in the city, having been requisitioned by the Government of India.

The couple had sparked dating rumours after being spotted having lunch together in Mumbai in March. They reportedly studied together at the London School of Economics and have been long-time friends. While their wedding date is yet to be officially announced, it is expected to happen before the end of the year.
