Elvish Yadav and Rajat Dalal sat down for a conversation for his chat show, The Little Adda Company. The podcast has upset many people because of the derogatory things said about Chum Darang. Elvish Yadav in a video says he wonders if Karan Veer Mehra had COVID because how he can like someone like Chum Darang. Another line goes like Chum’s name in itself sounds so vulgar. People are furious with these comments coming from Elvish Yadav and Rajat Dalal. A fan also tagged ministers from North East India so that they could look into these racist comments on the actress.
They said that it is no secret that people of North East India face racism from other parts of the nation. Chum Darang herself has spoken about the same. She said it hurt when people called them coronavirus during the lockdown. YouTuber Manu Punjabi has also poked fun at the name of Chum Darang. People are wondering how kind of message is being sent out to young people by channels who employ Elvish Yadav and Rajat Dalal for their shows. Some even reminded Elvish of his own words that one should strive to rise higher in life by degrading others.
