Eijaz Khan’s spokesperson clarifies: ‘Religion never played a role in the relationship.’

Eijaz Khan’s spokesperson has responded to recent remarks by his ex-girlfriend Pavitra Punia regarding conversion, clarifying that religion was never a factor in their relationship. “Eijaz comes from a family that embraces people from all religions,” the spokesperson stated, adding that the actor, with over three decades in the industry, celebrates all festivals and respects all faiths—a fact evident from his social media.

The spokesperson also highlighted the personal and professional challenges caused by such claims. “His father has been receiving calls from friends asking if Eijaz asked Pavitra to convert to Islam. This has deeply hurt him, especially since he was so happy about their relationship. Religion was never an issue, but it’s being unnecessarily dragged into the narrative now that their relationship is over,” they added.

The statement also pointed out Eijaz’s actions that reflect his inclusivity, such as seeking blessings at Tirupati Balaji and Siddhivinayak Temple during his project releases.

It emphasized the importance of verifying facts before making accusations. “In her interview, Pavitra clearly stated that religion was not a reason for their breakup and reiterated that she had said she wouldn’t convert from the beginning. Unfortunately, only the part about conversion has been highlighted, ignoring the rest,” the spokesperson explained.

“Eijaz celebrated Diwali and Ganesh Chaturthi with Pavitra, showing his respect for all religions. Such claims have real-life consequences, and people must consider their impact on others,” they concluded.
