Ed Sheeran's Street Performance Halted as Bengaluru Police Don't Recognise Him

British singer Ed Sheeran gave Bengaluru fans an unforgettable moment with an impromptu street performance on Church Street. The global pop icon, currently in India for his concert tour, casually picked up his guitar and started singing on the footpath, instantly drawing a large crowd. However, the excitement was short-lived as the Bengaluru Police intervened and stopped the performance due to the lack of necessary permissions.

A video of the incident has since gone viral, showing an officer unplugging Sheeran’s microphone while he was still performing. Interestingly, the police officers on duty reportedly did not recognise the Shape of You singer and asked him to stop singing as the crowd had grown significantly. Despite the unexpected halt, fans were thrilled to witness Sheeran performing live on the streets. His presence in Bengaluru has already created immense buzz among music lovers.

The four-time Grammy Award winner had already mesmerised the crowd with his scheduled performance in Bengaluru and is set to perform again today at NICE Grounds. His double concert in the city is a special arrangement due to the overwhelming demand for tickets. Bengaluru is the only Indian city where Sheeran will perform twice on consecutive days during this tour.

As part of his India tour, Sheeran is also set to perform in Pune, Shillong, and Delhi NCR. His return to India has been met with immense enthusiasm, with fans eagerly waiting to experience his live performances. Reflecting on his past visits, Sheeran expressed his excitement with fans.
