Kareena Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar and Shikha Talsania starer Veere Di Wedding is all set to clash with Indian Premier League (IPL) in May 2018.

While talking about the producers and the filmmakers, since a few years now most of them choose to release their film post-May and April as both the months are daily packed with IPL matches.

A professional Twenty20 cricket league established by the BCCI in 2007 is regularly performed every year. The filmmakers are always said to have choosey with the dates despite having a summer vacation and it is due to IPL as there are two matches played each day that airs on TV during the day and evening slot.

While comparing the rates of the morning slot in the theatres, it has less price on the movie tickets but, as the time passes... the charges go high.

According to a source, "Don't know if it was a deliberate attempt by the makers but, they are confident about the film. Also the plot about their veere's wedding. When does a group of friends can attend a wedding? It's most of the times during the summers/ summer vacations."

The source further adds, "Although winter is also the season of weddings, the makers did not want to delay the release. If you see the posters too it does give a summer wedding vibe. It will work during the morning times and post 9 pm shows as it's a summer vacation for the schools and colleges too."

Directed by Shashanka Ghosh under Balaji Motion Pictures the film is slated to release on May 18, 2018.
