To start with, the emcee for the evening kept mixing Hindi and Marwari language. A glimpse of the show was later shown on the screen. All the actors were felicitated on stage. But the highlight was the little jig that the two lead actresses Sulagna Panigrahi and Ankita Shrivastava did on-stage.
Speaking on the occasion Producer Ratna Sinha said, "Do Saheliyan is a show that traces the journey of two friends Bhawri (Ankita Shrivastava) and Maithili (Sulagna Panigrahi); they are not supposed to be friends according to the society but yet how they continue to sustain the relationship and what hardships they face is what becomes part of the story."
The whole venue of the event seemed like a mini replica of Rajasthan. It was studded with everything Rajasthani that could possibly be squeezed in the venue space. Every corner had an element representing the Rajasthani culture.
For recreation there was the giant wheel in both the large and tiny versions. One's who had a lesser hold over nausea could opt for camel rides instead. If you were absolutely intolerant to such forms of adrenaline rush then there were other options like bow and arrow game.
There were numerous stalls which sold Rajasthani art work. Lakh bangles, mirror work knick-knacks, plywood elephants and cotton stuffed cloth puppets were some of the stuff on sale at the counters.
Of course, all this was royally complimented with the Rajasthani thalis at the pavilion where the over-friendly waiters made sure you had stuffed your stomach to the fullest and that you left with a satisfied smile!
Everyone present at the venue including the cast members Ankita Shrivastava, Sulagna Panigrahi, Akshay Anand, Jatin Shah, Eva Grover and Mouni Roy seemed to have enjoyed the event to the fullest.
