There was a time when the trend of having sequels had just begun and before we know every other mega motion picture with a successful run was planning a sequel right away. Now years later, there haven't just been sequels but third, fourth and even fifth installments to several film franchises. But when it comes to the small screen, this wasn't entirely a thing until a year or so ago.
With the success of Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2 and Kasautii Zindagii Kay 2 among a few others, suddenly several shows are planning sequels. One of these that has been in the talks for a while now is Bade Acche Lagte Hai 2.
The original starred Ram Kapoor and Sakshi Tanwar in lead roles and had a brilliant run as well. Now, with the sequel in plans, many names were popped up a to who was approached for the same.
One name is Divyanka Tripathi. In fact, during a recent live chat with the fans, Tripathi was asked about it and she confirmed the same but also revealed that she is not doing the show. She said, "Yes, I was offered Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2 and I had even given a look test for the show. But I did not say yes to the show as I could not relate to the character. Whenever I take up any project I totally devote myself to it and it is like getting married to the role and if I am not convinced about the role, I will never do it. I couldn't feel like the character. Hence, I had to say no to Bade Acche Lagte Hain 2."
When asked as to what kind of shows is she now looking forward to, she said, "I am actually looking forward to a show or film where I can be seen in a different zone. I have a very soft face I know but I now want to play an IAS officer, Forest range officer, or a negative character, something very different. I want to do something challenging. I am reading a few different scripts and I hope to find something interesting and challenging."
