Dimple Kapadia on working with Christopher Nolan: It is a beautiful dream that has come true!

Christopher Nolan’s Tenet is touted to be one of the most awaited films of the year. The film’s trailer made a lot of noise during its release and considering Nolan’s genius to create visual excellence and mastery to perform real-life sequences fans across the world waited to experience his cinematic prowess. The film will also star actress Dimple Kapadia in a pivotal role. 

During a recent interview with IANS spoke about work in films and said, "My process of working is fear and nervousness. I don't know how the process unfolds after that." She relied on her "instinct and the director completely," added the Bobby actress. 

Speaking about working with Nolan in Tenet Dimple added, "My takeaway (after working in the film) is a hell of a lot. It has completely changed my mental make-up. It has made me more confident, wanting to do better roles, work more, and made me more positive. It has made me believe in myself finally - Nolan ke saath kaam kiya hai (have worked with Nolan)! It is a beautiful dream that has come true."

In the film, Dimple will be seen performing the character of Priya, who is crucial to the narrative. Her character emerges as a deadly person, splashed with various shades of grey.

"It was lovely (exploring the shades of grey). It was a very lovely surprise, and the way it was written. It is written so beautifully that half the battle is won right there," said the 63-year-old actress.

Christopher Nolan’s film is "an action epic evolving from the world of international espionage". The new film takes one on a thrilling time-bending mission with two secret agents, essayed by Robert Pattinson and John David Washington.

Dimple spoke about Nolan and said, "I was hesitating to do the film because I was not comfortable with myself and my capabilities but after doing a Nolan film, I (realized I) didn't have to worry because he takes care of everything."

Tenet will be released in India after almost two months of delay owing to the closure of cinema halls. The film was shot for a brief period in Mumbai last year and the film is touted to receive a good response in India as well.

The film was scheduled to release in July this year but got postponed several times due to the ongoing pandemic. 

The film is now scheduled to release in India on December 4. Warner Bros. India made the announcement, with a short video featuring cast member Dimple Kapadia.

"I hope people go to the cinema and see the film. It is absolutely brilliant, the action sequences are fantastic. The drama has to be seen on the big screen. You can't enjoy it on pirated version or small screen," said the actress.

The film was released across the globe, starting with the UK on August 26 and the US on September 3. So far, the film has been appreciated by the critics and surpassed general expectations considering the opening weekend predictions are concerned.

Tenet also stars Elizabeth Debicki, Kenneth Branagh, Michael Caine, Dimple Kapadia, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Clemence Poesy.
