Dimple Kapadia & Dharmendra are all set to share the screen after 31 years: Reports
Reportedly, veteran actors Dimple Kapadia and Dharmendra will reunite for a film after 31 years.
Bollywood veteran duo Dharmendra and Dimple Kapadia will reunite on the big screens after 31 years. Yes you read that right ! They had shared the big screens in the 80s-90s hits like ‘Batwara’, ‘Saazish’ and ‘Ganga Tere Desh Mein’ and many more. Well according to recent reports from News 18, the duo has signed up for pivotal roles in Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon’s upcoming entertainer.
Dharmendra has been giving single takes as they shoot for the film in Rajasthan. The team has been shooting for the film in Jaisalmer since December 15 and after this, the cast will travel to the northern part of India for another schedule. Kriti Sanon, who is working for the first time with Shahid Kapoor, will reportedly essay the role of a robot in this futuristic drama.
According to reports, Kriti will possibly play a robot in the movie, which will be a first for the actress. She has never worked with Shahid before while he appears to be portraying a robotics expert. Also Shahid and Kriti are gelling along quite well. The reports also stated that, "It’s a fun film. So, the atmosphere on the set is humorous and charming. Dharmendra isn’t keeping too well and so, he doesn’t get to spend much time with the younger cast members. But it is worth applauding that even at 87, he manages to impress one and all with single takes."
Well fans will be eagerly waiting to see Dharam ji and Dimple Kapadia to rock on the big screeens yet again.
Apart from this, Dharmendra will also be seen essaying a pivotal role in Karan Johar’s directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’. This light hearted romantic entertainer also features Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi in pivotal roles. The veteran actor will also reunite with his sons Sunny and Bobby Deol for ‘Apne 2’, which also stars his grandson Karan Deol. Recently, Dharmendra had announced that he will reunite with ‘Johnny Gaddaar’ director Sriram Raghavan for ‘Ikkis’, co-starring Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda.
