Diljit Dosanjh Was Set to Play Priyanka Chopra’s Husband in an Unmade Film. Read to Know More

In a surprising revelation, it was disclosed that Diljit Dosanjh was once considered to star opposite Priyanka Chopra in a project that never materialized. The singer-actor was set to play Chopra’s husband in a Bonney Kapoor film that was planned years before her Hollywood breakthrough with Quantico.

In an interview with Zoom, Boney Kapoor shared, "I’m very proud of what he has achieved and what he’s achieving. He has risen. In fact, I wanted to cast him in a film which we had planned about six or seven years before Priyanka (Chopra) migrated to the US. She had loved the subject we were planning."

The filmmaker further revealed that the team waited nearly two years for Chopra. "When I used to speak to her, she said, ‘I have the script next to me, and every night I think of this and imagine myself.’ We had met Diljit and told him he’d be playing her husband," they added.

While the project never came to life, Dosanjh and Chopra’s pairing remains a missed opportunity. Meanwhile, Dosanjh is now set to star in No Entry 2 alongside Varun Dhawan, with more details about the film expected soon.
