International Icon Will Smith, in a massive development, hired India’s biggest communications agency, Spice for representation- marking the first of its kind for the Indian industry.

The actor started the year with an interesting show titled,  'Bucket List', a series of videos wherein every week he unfolds a set of real-life adventures and tries to complete his 'Bucket List'. Smith’s episode centered around Bollywood dancing got the maximum views on facebook, more than 42 million in numbers. The video also became the biggest video for its reach, out of all the videos from the series. 

With the Indian entertainment Industry booming at its peak, it is certainly a fresh perspective that has taken over the purview of International personalities to carve and mark their presence in Indian markets, with a potential following population of nearly a fifth of the world’s population.  

Tapping the largely untapped Indian market,  Will Smith’s Indian video, which marked the biggest reach amongst all the others from the series, was managed by India’s biggest communication agency, Spice. 

Known as an International Icon for his unparalleled performances, it is interesting to see how Will Smith’s latest stint has brought greater relevance on Indian media being taken seriously by the International media alleys.

It is certainly a paradigm shift for the International space where India is finding its representative stronger ground as an emerging industry.
