The cricket fever has just begun and all our favourite Telly stars have been divided into teams to pit against one another to battle their way to the coveted trophy!

In order to promote their team, Kolkata Babu Moshayes recently visited Indiaforums.com and in a candid conversation, team member Hiten Tejwani spilled some beans about his excitement to be a part of BCL and more...

Hiten, did you watch the first match?

No. My shoot schedule kept me busy but the excitement this year is way to higher as last year the enthusiasm had just seeped in. We all watch cricketers play the sport and we know what to expect from them, but watching an actor play the sport is a different feel all together.

What preparations have you done to perform well?

After we pack up from our respective shoots we practice till 2 am. Cricket is easier for those who have played before but the actors who are playing for the first time definitely need a lot of practice. I have been playing occasionally, so the practice sessions are easier to grasp.

Does cricket interest you personally?

Cricket interests me and that is the main reason I got into BCL.

Why did you choose to be a part of Kolkata Babu Moshaye?

Nivedita Basu is a good friend; infact she is one of the people, because of whom, I got my first break into television. I had to support her. On top of it, this team is full of positive members. I would not say it is the best team but what I really like about Kolkata Babu Moshaye is that there is a spirit to compete!

Hiten, you are juggling between two shows - Balika Vadhu and Gangaa. And now BCL! How are you managing your time?

Last year the matches were scheduled back to back but this year the matches are after a long gap of 2 weeks. That is helping not only me but all the other actors to focus well on our work, get enough rest and attend practice sessions.

Whom do you see as a competition among the BCL teams?

This is the first time Chennai will be playing and I have heard that they are really good at cricket! Also, last time Delhi was the winning team.. so these are the 2 teams, who we have to win against.
