Deepika Singh on 'Mangal Lakshmi' becoming NUMBER ONE on Colors TV: 'Star Plus ke hisab se..'

Deepika Singh, the leading lady of Colors TV's 'Mangal Lakshmi,' has been ruling the channel as her show has secured the numero uno spot on Colors TV. With Mangal Lakshmi breaking every record on the TRP charts, the actress recently got in an exclusive chat with us and expressed her joy on the show's success.

Calling the feeling of her show 'Mangal Lakshmi; becoming the number one show on Colors TV, an 'overwhelming feeling,' Deepika says, ''It feels overwhelming. Bahut bahut acha lagraha hai, goosebumps aagaye literally, sach mein, main last time hi keh rahi thi. Main last time hi keh rahi thi ke main 2 number dekhne ko taras gayi hoon TRP pe and I really prayed for it, I prayed to see 2.2 on the TRP charts. Although, Star Plus ke hisab se it was 2.1 hai, Colors ke hisab se 2.2 hai. Ye numbers dekhna bhi mere liye bahut badi baat hai. I think all our prayers have been answered. Sab ki team ki bahut mehnat hai. The hero of the show is the story, the content and I feel blessed to be a part of the show. Our producer is also very connected to the show and pays special attention. The writers, the directors, my co actor Naman, Urvashi ji are all doing a fab job and this is the strength of our show and I feel glad I am working with them and that I am a part of the show.

As Deepika what aspect of the show connects the audience to it, the actress says, ''Mujhe lagta hai ki jo kirdar Mangal ka hai aur jo story line hai na humari wo bahut hi dumdar hai. Jis tarah se Mangal ek housewife thi aur ab ek working woman bhi hogayi hai, jis tarah se wo aage badh rahi hai, the way she handles her challenges, mujhe lagta hai ki that is worth praising. Even I as Deepika like it. Mangal ka jo suljhapan hai, the way she is, she never blames anyone for her problems even after knowing that her problems have not been created by her, still she never blames herself. I think this is the beauty of this character. Without any support from anyone, without even the support of her husband, this woman is going ahead in her life, even after her husband cheating on her and staying with another woman in the same house, she is staying back for her kids, bahut hi suljhe huye tarike se reh rahi hai. The way she accepts her problems is the beauty of her character. So yes, I think the story line and Mangal's character are the key factors.''

Further heaping praises on her co actor Naman and others, Deepika says, ''The way Naman is playing the character of Adit is remarkable. Mujhe lagta hai ke agar Adit, Saumya aur Kusum na ho toh Mangal itna ubhar ke na dikh paaye. I have very good actors who are giving their best.''
