Deepika Padukone to romance Salman Khan in her NEXT?

Actress Deepika Padukone has always stunned the audience with her powerful performances and has some impressive box office numbers in her kitty. 

The actress is currently shooting for Meghna Gular's Chhappak, which is a biopic on the acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. As per a report in Asian Age, the actress has been approached for Kick 2 opposite Salman Khan. 

They both have never worked with each other and Salman, in fact, has often expressed his desire to work with Deepika.

A source quoted by the daily, said, "If you remember, Deepika was the first choice for Kick. But somehow it didn’t work out. Jacqueline was brought in and Kick changed the course of her career. Deepika can’t play just a typical Salman heroine. Her role has to be as powerful as Salman’s. Sajid is working on it, injecting heft into the female lead."

Earlier in an interview with DNA After Hrs, Salman expressed his desire to work with Padukone. He said, "Actually even I’m wondering when will I work with Deepika?" The Dabangg actor further said, "No one has come forward to cast me with her. Deepika is a big star, so it has to be worth her while to do a film with me. Right now, there is nothing."

Salman is currently preparing for Bharat and will be seen alongside Alia Bhatt in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Inshallah.

Deepika, on the other hand, was seen at MET GALA 2019, after taking some time from her busy schedule of Chhappak, where she donned her pink carpet look.

It will be a treat to watch Salman and Deepika together on the big screens.
