Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra among others have the most Fake Instagram Followers!

Today’s generation is dominated by the use of social media and its relevance. In this technologically advanced era, a person’s importance is equated with his/her social media following. The online numbers determine a lot of emphasis on the stars. 

However, as per a survey conducted by the UK-based website, ICMP revealed that some of Hollywood's top followed celebrities' Instagram accounts consist of a massive number of fake followers.

As per the survey, Ellen DeGeneres, BTS, and Kourtney Kardashian have come up as the top social media accounts who have a high number of fake followers. The list has taken the Twitter and Instagram followers of the celebrities into account for the survey. 

The list stated that American comedian, Ellen DeGeneres has the highest number of fake followers with 58 percent of her Instagram followers being fake. Following Ellen is K-pop band BTS, and the seven-member South Korean band accounts for 48 percent. 

The Kardashians also featured on the list and Kourtney Kardashian positioned third with 49 percent of fake followers compared to their total follow count. 

Kourtney Kardashian’s sisters, Kim Kardashian and Khloé Kardashian, both had 44% of their followers listed as fake. Other notable names on the list include Ariana Grande with 46%, Miley Cyrus with 45%, Kevin Hart with 44%, and Drake with 38%. 

Besides Hollywood stars, some prominent names from the B-town have also shown up on the list of fake followers! While Priyanka Chopra came in on number 10 with 43 percent fake followers, Deepika Padukone ranks on number six with 45 percent fake accounts following her on social media.
