Deepika Padukone on receiving unconditional love from husband Ranveer Singh: Video

Actor Deepika Padukone is part of a campaign by the National Commission for Women called Men for Women. In a video, shared by their official handle, the actor spoke about how her father badminton ace Prakash Padukone and, now her husband, actor Ranveer Singh, have supported her immensely, adding that the campaign for gender equality needs the support of men.

Deepika says in a video, "I have been extremely fortunate to have received a lot of love from my father, and now, husband. Throughout my life, and in various aspects of my life. So let us not forget that men play an equally important role in empowering women."

Deepika has often acknowledged the support her father has had in her upbringing. Wishing her dad on his 65th birthday last year, Deepika had written a sweet note. It read: 

"To the greatest off-screen hero I could have ever had! Thank You for showing us that being a true champion is not only about one’s professional achievements, but also about being a good human being!Happy 65th Birthday, Pappa ! We love you! #pappa #padukone."

Deepika and Ranveer got married in Italy in November 2018. The ceremony was followed by receptions in Bengaluru and Mumbai. Ranveer wrote a heartfelt note for Deepika, just months after their wedding.

Earlier, Ranveer had even penned down a heartfelt note for his darling wifey. Deepika launched her own website as a gift to her fans on the occasion of her 33rd birthday, on January 5 and that's when Ranveer wrote a beautiful note for her. It can be seen on her website. It reads:
