Dance India Dance sees its first elimination...

The Grand Premier of Zee TV's Dance India Dance, produced by The Right Picture began in style yesterday.

And today's episode will see the first of the eighteen selected contestants bowing out.

According to our source, "As per the format, the mentors were asked to nominate two contestants from their team for elimination. The named six contestants had to perform again, and based on their performance, one contestant had to be eliminated".

"The dance talent from the South, Ameeth and Vandana were nominated from the Terrence Ki Toli, while Kishore and Shruti were nominated from Geet Ki Gang. Remo Ke Rangeele saw Meenu and Naresh in the danger zone. After the performances coming from the bottom six contestants, Grand Master Mithun Da declared that Shruti Basakhetre from Geeta Ki Gang will be the first contestant to go out from the Grand Premier".

With the first elimination, the stage is set for more fierce battles on the dance floor…
