Ace choreographer is highly overwhelmed to be a part of this dance family as it has given her recognition and fame. Geeta who has been Farah Khan's assistant while choreographing songs in her films is delighted to work with her.
In a candid chat with TellyBuzz, Geeta Kapur talks about her association with the show Dance India Dance, reason of not mentoring little champs and much more...
When asked Geeta that what did Dance India Dance mean
to her she says, "Dance India Dance is my means of bread and butter. It
is a mean where I can express myself better. Today because of Dance India Dance I am recognized by the people otherwise
nobody knew who I was. So today whatever I am, is because of Dance India Dance.
And you can see that it means a lot to me."
Apart from judging the show DID, Geeta is busy choreographing Farah Khan's upcoming film Happy New Year, "Yes, currently I am also working on the Happy New Year Film. So I am happy going back to my boss (Farah Khan), just for being there with her because I love working with her and once in a year whenever she does a film it's always good to go back. Thus I am going and will be working on that. We have already started with the process and will start shooting very soon. So that will keep me busy and I have given my team little break because I think for the last three years they have worked continuously," says Geeta.
When it comes to shaking a leg at various events, Geeta is not giving a try at dancing as she is suffering from a back ache, "I have been suffering from a back pain issue and it's still not yet cured. I will try my best to be out there as you all know that at every finale I give performance and will definitely perform for this finale as well but till then I am avoiding dancing. Actually I am taking all the precautions so that I can avoid 6 months bed rest."

"This time we have given freedom of speech to the kids and so we have the tag line as Bacchagiri, because when these kids come on such a great platform they are restricted and obviously a bit scared. So it is necessary to give them freedom aur ab humari waat lag rahi hai (Laughs). We wanted to select lot of kids but by default we can't because as it's our job. Agar humara bas chalta toh we would have chosen top 24 not top 16 but apparently we can't. But still we fought for many kids and we have 4 children on standby," concludes Geeta talking about the hidden talent in kids.
TellyBuzz wishes Geeta Kapur and the top 16 contestant all the best!
